A well written and very accurate assessment of the current situation but you haven’t given a way to cull that top 10 percent without resorting to assassination. And given that these rich people are intelligent enough to realise their position, they will have taken every measure to ensure that assassination is out of the question.

Perhaps you could persuade them to commit suicide or become hermits giving up all their worldly goods (not a very likely scenario). There is the possibility of some kind of revolution similar to that of the French revolution where the poor overthrow the rich but given that most of these ultra-rich people live in conservative, right leaning countries where any kind of socialist uprising is stamped on with ferocity, that scenario seems very unlikely too.

I’m afraid that we are most likely to keep marching, lock step, into oblivion because it’s easier and more comfortable to keep things as they are, until it’s too late.
