I agree with your cons on owning an EV but there are newer types of battery being developed that should be less polluting and not involve mining. Secondly, the best solution is to not use a car at all but this is either not practical or extremely undesirable for certain segments of society. In these circumstances I would rather they bought EVs than perpetuate the ICE dominance. Remember fossil fuel extraction is as polluting and exploitative as mineral mining but fossil fuels are not reusable. They pollute coming out of the ground and when they are burnt. CO2 levels are a greater danger than mining because most of the dangers you mention could be avoided or prevented.
