It's not just the East. The poor in the west are being blamed for everything while trying to survive escalating inflation. The poor live on charity 'Food banks' to survive while the rich complain about the strikes for fairer pay. When you fall, we won't be far behind.

I was happy to see the ordinary people of Sri Lanka rise up and depose your President, as I hoped it would remind our leaders in the west of what could happen if the poor get squeezed any further.

If it is no longer possible to move to socialism through legal means then they must expect us to rise up in revolution instead.
