My real fear is that Putin may be wearing down the Ukraine military by sending in old tanks and conscripts, that he knows will be defeated. When the Ukrainian army becomes exhausted from constant battle, he will then send in the crack troops and modern tanks he has stashed away. It's easier to defeat a tired and demorolised army that is running out of ammunition. Putin gets to keep his shiny new tanks intact and his generals keep all their best troops ready for the next onslaught.

Remember Russia has a huge army and a vast number of armaments. Be warned.
