Sadly there is a percentage of the population who would still suck up and support the rich no matter how fu***ing evil they become. It's why we are in the position we are in today. The rich will aslways find these people and exploit them either for their aggression or their intelligence. This is why the wealthy have servants who remian loyal no matter what happens.

The rich are the ones who promote and reward loyalty, constantly feeding them a little dribble of money to keep them on their side. However, the rich rarley consider that they should be loyal to their supporters. When they head for their bunkers, these loyal sychophants will be left at the gates to fend for themselves.

Loyal security guards will become the modern day equivalent of knights, willing to die for their leige-lord. Their reward will be (as in olden times) gifts of property and riches taken from the surviving poor.
